Jade was walking about the church. She had nothing else to do. She sat down on the steps leading up to the piano. She looked around and started to cry. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply. Jade was lonely and wanted someone to talk to. She cared less who it was. Jade got up and looked through the window at the front of the church. She saw men, women, and children walk and even run past the old church. She also noticed a person who didn't quite fit in with the rest. The person waved to her and disappeared as people past the church. She lowered her head and sighed.
All of a sudden she heard footsteps behind her. It was a priest. He looked up at the crusefix above the stage and continued up the stairs. Jade smiled and decided to show her presence. The priest was the only person who enjoyed her company. She walked up to him and put her hand sofly on his shoulder. "Hello Camryn. Lovely morning it is isn't it?" he said as he looked up. She whipped the remaining tear away and continued down the isle.
She looked back at the priest who was gathering books and paper and turned towards the door. She decided to take a walk. As she made her way down the stone steps she looked up at the blue sky and then back at the people walking about. Jade looked around and spotted the person she saw not to long ago. He looked familiar.

Oliver had passed this Church numerous times in the past, even slept in it on occasion. Today, however, he decided to go inside, as he was bored and...this looked like a good place to explore. Sighing he began to walk up the steps, only to stop when a familiar person...err...spirit, came into view. Smiling he walked over to her and sat down beside her, careful to not speak unless she spoke to him first.
This was how Oliver was, never one to talk first, always one to wait for someone else to talk to him first. He sighed and placed his head on his hand, obviously bored but not wanting to speak. Finally he couldn't stand the silence anymore and decided he would be the first to break the silence, so he lifted his head off his hands and spoke. "Hello." he greeted the girl he saw plenty of times before. "Umm...I'm Oliver, You know...Like Oliver Twist? It's not me real name but...I don't remember that anymore." He said to her, shyly, as he adjusted his dirty cap on his head.

"Hi Oliver nice to meet you. My name is Jade." she saidas she sat next to him. She smiled sweetly at him. Oliver was the first spirit to talk to her. She was happy to have someone to talk to. "What are you up to?" she asked him as she looked out at the street.
"Lovely morning isn't it?" She took her sunglasses out and put them on. She looked at the little boy and noticed this child wasn't from the same period as her. "That name sounds familiar." she said as she stared down at him again. She adjusted her collar and slouched. As you can see she was bored too. Nothing to do but pace around the church all day and noone to talk to.

Oliver smiled upon hearing her name. It was a very nice name. When she said Oliver sounded familiar he nodded. "If you've ever read the book, Oliver Twist, that's where the name comes from. I...can't read so...when I died some kid that died in the same stable named Axe, took the name, he said, because of an axe to the head that killed him, read it to me. Very good book... And...the character in it fits me perfectly, like Jade fits you. Is that your real name?" He asked her, curiously.
When he heard her mention how nice a morning it was, he nodded...agreeing with her. "It's a very nice morning. It's why I decided to take a walk, to enjoy the day. You know..."He started after he was done agreeing with her, staring over his shoulder at the church behind him. "I slept in that church when I was alive. I walked quite aways from where I'm from when I was alive, I was tired and..." He stopped, trying to remember the rest, his eyes staring at the church still. "I decided to sleep in this church." He said with a hint of surprise a how he could remember. "Hasn't changed much from my time." He said seriously as he stood up and walked over to the Church's entrance, which wasn't very far, to stare inside, spotting a priest inside. "Do you reckon he'll see me?" He asked Jade, curiously. He, to, had wanted company...and meeting Jade was wonderful, it gave him someone to talk to, but the Priest... Oliver wondered if a Priest would be able to see him, as he had hoped he would.

She smiled and replied. "I remember reading that book at school. I think my real name was Camryn Carter. The priest calls me that all the time. I got my name from this." She showed Oliver her necklace. She tucked it back into her shirt.
"I don't know Oliver but you could try. Once in a while he sees me." she said as she passed through the doors of the church. She looked back to see if Oliver would follow her in.

Oliver smiled as he looked at her necklace, the thing she took her name from. "It's very pretty." He said nicely to her before listening to her say her real name could've been Camryn Carter, and that that was what the priest had called her. Smiling he followed her through the Churchs door and stopped beside Jade, eyes wide as he looked at the church he remembered sleeping in years ago. "Wow...it's beautiful in hear...barely changed." He said, wide eyed. "Maybe he knew you when you were alive?" He suggested before shrugging. "I wish I could remember me real name, All I know is I was the best Pick Pocket in all of Britain." He said, sounding rather proud at the end.
((That's alright.))

"I was kind of thinking the same thing to Oliver." she said as she walked ahead of him. "I died here." Jade looked around the church. She looked down at Oliver and smiled. "You remember what it looked like when you were alive?" she asked. She saw that the priest was getting ready to prey. She walked up to the priest and put her hand softly on his shoulder again. She reached out her hand to help Oliver up the stairs. Maybe he can see spirits. she thought to herself as she noticed the priests head come up.

Oliver's eyes widened when she said she died hear. Churches, to him, were holy places... and for someone to die in one, he figured they were special. "You died hear, in this church?" He curiously asked her before taking her hand and allowing her to gently pull him to the top of the stairs. He spotted the priest getting ready to pray and followed Jade as she placed a hand on his shoulder, smiling slightly as he hoped the priest would see him. He remembered this church, how beautiful it was during his time, sleeping on one of the Pews, even the Priest that walked past when Oliver was supposedly asleep. "Yeah, I remember what this church looked like. It's odd... Coming hear seemed to bring back memories for me. I remember sleeping in the very Pew the Priest is praying in now. And the Priest back then, he thought I was asleep, I wasn't...I saw him as he left for a few and returned with a blanket, which he covered me with. I liked it hear." Oliver said with a smile, which faded as he wondered how she died. "How... how did you die, if you don't mind me asking?"

Jade looked at the confession booth and pointed to it. She reached out her hand and rolled up her sleeves and showed him the scars on her wrists. "My boyfriends best friend slit my wrists in there and strangled me." she said as she started walking to the booth. She reached the door and passed through it.
Out of the blue she started crying and layed down in the booth. Jade as usual started running her fingers down her scar.

Oliver cringed when she showed him her wrists, and told him her boyfriends friend killed her. "How could he do something so mean in Gods House?" Oliver asked, not realising she had dissapeared until he looked around, spotting no one but hearing crying. Sighing he passed through the door and stopped. "You hate death, don't you?" He calmly asked her, sitting down beside her and smiling warmly at her.

"I wish I could see my boyfriend again." she said as she sat back up. She saw him smile and gently smiled back at him. "Thanks Oliver. I appreciate it a lot." She put her hand on his face and kissed him on the cheek. "I do hate death. I've seen a lot of it while I was alive."
